Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Michaela Leo will join the North America Human Resources Team on October 18, 2021 as Head, Compensation and Benefits. Michaela will lead Compensation and Benefits for NA in managing local and global projects, by providing expertise, analysis and consultation to ensure Ipsen’s programs are market relevant, competitive, and forward thinking to attract and retain top talents. She will manage two team members: Erin Quinn who leads Compensation for NA in managing local and global Compensation projects and Cheryl Swidrak who provides functional and subject matter expertise in support of the design and delivery of the company’s Total Rewards strategy including benefits, wellness, and compensation-related special projects. Michaela will report to me with a dotted line to Lisa DiPaolo. She will be located in Cambridge.

Prior to Ipsen, Michaela was at Merck for close to 15 years and brings deep expertise in compensation, benefits, programs & analytics, total rewards program design, and program integration following mergers and joint ventures. She is skilled in applying analytics skills, strategic thinking, Six Sigma methodology and change management to design and implement practical solutions that improve efficiency, focus on customers, align to business strategy and achieve results that add value.

Michaela received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Bombay, a Master of Philosophy from the University of Birmingham, and a Masters in Business Administration from Regis University.

Please join me in welcoming Michaela and wishing her success in her new position.
