Dear colleagues,
I am very pleased to welcome Wee Nar Lee to Ipsen as Human Resources Manager Singapore/ASEAN. Wee Nar will join us on 17 November on a full-time basis for a 6-month contract period and will be based in Singapore reporting directly to Alex Sakellaridis, HR Regional Lead, ASEAN & ANZ.

In this position Wee Nar will lead a variety of human resource projects and provide HR business partnering consultancy and advice. A key project outcome for Wee Nar will be to undertake an objective audit of Singapore’s HR policies, practises and documentation in order to identify opportunities for improvement. This role will lead the implementation of any actions required based on the results of this review to ensure both regulatory and best practise standards are in place in Singapore and for ongoing success in HR consultancy/resourcing for our region.

Wee Nar is a successful human resource professional with more than 11 years of generalist HR experience dedicated to promoting a positive, productive work environment through conducting HR strategic planning that supports and enhances stakeholder goals. Wee Nar joins us from Alcon Singapore (an ex-Novartis company) where she held the role of Human Resources Manager and facilitated the transition of the business from Novartis into an independent franchise with associated change management and transformation strategies.

Prior to the transition of Alcon, Wee Nar held the position of Senior HR Operation Executive with Novartis Singapore for 4 years directly managing their Shared Services team which supported over 2200 employees across multiple commercial and manufacturing sites. Wee Nar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management with Honours (Finance) from the University of Malaysia and is a permanent resident in Singapore.

Please join me in congratulating Wee Nar on her appointment and assisting her in any way you can as she undertakes the project responsibilities in her new role.

Alex Sakellaridis
HR Regional Lead, ANZ & ASEAN
