At Ipsen, Milton Park we create an annual CSR strategy for engaging our employees based on awareness days, throughout the year, that correlate with our company values.

Data collected by UNESCO Institute for Statistics informs us that less than 30% of the world’s researchers are women.  This is understood to be mainly due to barriers that they have faced, and in some countries and demographics still face today.

At Ipsen, Milton Park 47% of our scientists are female.  It seemed appropriate that on International Women and Girls in Science day we should recognize the contribution of our #womeninscience to Ipsen and highlight their importance as role models to inspire girls into a future career path in science.  The event opened a lot of conversations on the subject both internally and through social media.

Our celebrated female scientists were very happy to share their portraits and photos with family and friends.  The day was a huge success, bringing joy to all employees who attended our “gallery” in celebration of their colleagues.
