#BreakTheBias on International Women’s Day #WomenOfIpsen

Dear colleagues,

With the 8th March approaching, some of you are asking how we plan to mark International Women’s Day this year- the day when we celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, and a day that is also a call to action for accelerating gender parity. The theme set by the IWD organization for 2022 is #BreakTheBias.

Global approach:
We plan to run a campaign on MyIpsen next week to invite nominations for women who deserve to be seen and spotlighted on our on our LinkedIn & Instragam pages. We plan to spotlight 6 women, and as this is for our external social media channels, the stories will be in English.

The invitation will be to nominate women who should be seen, for any number of reasons; for example:
– They excel at something
– They are recognized by the team as an exceptional member of the team
– They’ve made an interesting or unusual career move
– They’re recognized for their scientific achievements or expertise
– & more…

Key will be to find those women across geographies, functions, and levels in the organization, and broaden out the view that amazing specifically means high achievers.

We also know we have more than 6 amazing women at Ipsen, and therefore we will also use Yammer to invite all those other women to be seen by sharing their stories in their own language, internally.

Finally, we are still investigating a couple of other pieces (such as a message from our ELT sponsor, or running the off-the-shelf workshops on fighting bias which Lean In have designed with IWD.) I will update plans here.

    Hi Aline,
    I would like to propose an Italian colleague, Daniela Teriaca, Regulatory Affairs Quality & PHV Manager.
    She is a talent, she joined Ipsen with an operational role, before her return from twin motherhood we promoted her as a replacement for her boss (of which she was successor), she is involved in global projects and she has a strong reputation in Corporate, she comes to the office almost every day and brings children at the company nursery.
    If you think she has the right profile, let’s arrange a catch up.
