Dear colleagues,
Remember our last HR Webcast of June 21st? We shared about a brand-new Global Recognition program at Ipsen. It’s coming soon!
Its name? You helped to shape it with your input, we are now happy to disclose the winner name: “Bravo!”
When it will be launched? September 27th, 2022. The launch is imminent, and we can’t wait to foster recognition at Ipsen!
What will you find in this communication?
- An overview of the program and its main components to give you a better understanding
- A high-level communication plan
- Your role to ensure the success of the program
Overview of the program
Why a Global Recognition Program?
Bravo! is a Global Recognition Program aiming at fostering recognition at Ipsen, in order to:
- Increase employee engagement and grow our culture
- Recognize and exemplify behaviors which support Ipsen Way of Being and our Culture Manifesto
- Create an equitable employee experience for ALL and available at country/ division/ function level
- Reinforce bonds between employees, to strengthen the sense of belonging
The program will allow us to streamline recognition throughout the organization in a consistent and inclusive manner, focusing on our culture, values and behaviors.
How does it work?
Based on peer-to-peer recognition, all employees will be empowered, whatever their location, division or hierarchical level, to acknowledge colleagues who demonstrate the behaviors which are moving the needle towards our culture of collaboration and excellence, supporting our company strategy: Focus. Together. For patients & society. All employees will have an easy, meaningful and inclusive way to express appreciation.
The program is supported by an easy-to-use global platform available in multiple languages, where employees can either send “Thank you” notes, or award points to their colleagues, to recognize their contribution to Ipsen. Points are moderate financial awards that each employee will be able to redeem on a marketplace. Recognizing real impact, every day, is our goal!
What are the next key milestones?

We are actively working on finalizing the design of the program and the platform, preparing the communication toolkit and support documentation, while coordinating with different stakeholders (IT, Finance, Payroll, Communications) .
Existing recognition programs, be them global such as Be*One or more local if any, will be integrated into the global program and platform, with a transition plan to be settled with relevant parties.
What is expected from HR?
Bravo! is not an HR process, it is a company-wide program available to all employees, based on peer-to-peer recognition, where leaders will play a key role to drive the change. Still, as HR, we have an instrumental part as main point of contact for our managers and employees.
Depending on your position, you will need to:
- Advocate: promote the program, convey the key messages, and embark our managers so they can drive the changes and encourage our people to take part in the journey.
- Facilitate: explain and advise our managers when needed, as well as complete the program’s documentation with on-the-field insights and provide feedback to the project team.
- Activate: Local HRs to organize local launch events (gathering, breakfast, lunch, coffee break, CEO talk, etc.) which brings excitement, catches the employees’ attention and emphasizes the importance of the program.
More information about your involvement in the program, key principles, platform demo, user guides, FAQ and communication kit will be shared with you in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
In case of questions, please reach out to our core project team (Romain Levi, Erin Sheehan or Amanda Dini). In parallel, we are going to contact you to prepare the implementation plan.
Kind regards,
Romain Levi
