Dear HR colleagues,
As part of the HR Transformation initiated in 2018, reinforcing the current hubs and rationalizing operations in the other geographies are key levers to optimize our processes.
Therefore, I am delighted to announce that effective June 1st Mona Amin is appointed as Head of HR International Operations, reporting to me, and is also joining the GLT. Mona will continue to be based in Belgium and sit on the HRLT.
In her new role, Mona will be instrumental in ensuring high quality and cost-effective services in 31 countries (all Ipsen countries except China, UK, Ireland, France, Canada & USA). More specifically, she will ensure that all HR Operational matters are consistently managed across locations where both divisions SC and CHC exist, that Ipsen standards are applied on HR Ops matters across International and will have a real focus on process effectiveness and operational excellence.
Mona joined Ipsen last December to support the Specialty Care organization by providing HR business partnering and leadership to the SC HR network within the NCEME Region and Asia (excluding China) & LatAm. Prior to joining Ipsen, she worked for Takeda where she held the position of HR Head ICMEA (India, CIS, Middle East Africa). She has also held HR roles with Shire, Baxalta, Baxter International, Gambro, IBM, P&G and Zen Exim, based in India and Belgium. Mona holds a Masters in Social Work from the M.S. University of Baroda.
Thanks to this new role being created, Monika Gibson and Marie-Aude Julien, Business HRs respectively for Specialty Care and Consumer Healthcare, will be able to enhance their focus on the Business strategy and Talent agenda of their divisions: developing and preparing our workforce for the challenges of tomorrow and supporting the EVPs in their transformation projects are our absolute priorities. As part of this mission, Monika and Marie-Aude will still be involved on all key matters related to GLT, country Leadership Team (LT) and above positions and related topics.
Country HRs in the 31 countries will have a functional reporting line to Head of International HR Ops but will continue to liaise with Business HRs on all strategic HR topics. Their missions remain otherwise unchanged.
In addition, Jemma Chambers, HR Shared Services Manager, will also report to Mona, as we are planning to expand the geographical scope of the existing HR shared services based in Wrexham to serve some countries outside the UK & Ireland region.
I am convinced that Mona’s wealth of experience and background, as well as her qualities in structuring activities will be strong assets in her new role.
Please join me in wishing her every success in this new challenge,
Regis Mulot
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
