Dear colleagues,
I’m excited to share two updates regarding our HR Shared Services operation in the JAPAC region:
Firstly, following our recent DevelopMe campaign to elevate operational excellence within HR Shared Services for the JAPAC region, I’m delighted to announce that Katherine PARR (HR Business Partner, Wrexham) will be joining us in this role at the end of the month.
Katherine has previous experience across business change projects, has managed HR service delivery with multiple clients, and has driven strong stakeholder engagement.
Katherine has also worked collaboratively with our HRSS team in Wrexham on similar projects as a stakeholder herself and therefore understands our work and our ways of working.
Katherine will partner with myself, Janet, and the JAPAC HRSS team to drive the documentation and standardisation of our core HR processes, including:
- New Hire
- Internal Mover
- Leaver
- Request for Change
- Parental Leave
Her work will support our key priorities by:
- Creating high‑quality Visio process maps and SOPs
- Consolidating supporting documents and templates
- Preparing processes for AskHR integration
Secondly, we are also delighted to share that Iris LV; a junior university student in Management Science and Engineering has joined the team on an internship for the coming months.
Iris’ focus will be working closely with the JAPAC HRSS team to deliver operational activity and deliver key project elements which in turn will enable further efficiencies and improved employee experience when using the services of HRSS.
Iris’s primary activities include:
- Daily operational support
- The transition of employee files to AskHR
- Support and creation of revised HR SharePoint pages in readiness for future AI projects
We hold you’ll agree that the above appointments will help us build strong, scalable, and efficient ways of working to support JAPAC’s continued growth.
