We are therefore delighted to announce that with effect of September 15^th 2020, Jo Briggs will take on a newly created role – Senior Director HR Operations UK & Ireland Global Hub reporting to Mona Amin, HR International Operations Head

In this position, Jo will be responsible for ensuring all HR Operational matters are consistently managed across all UK & Ireland sites, including but not limited to  employee life cycle, HR policies and procedures. Jo will lead an HR function that works in true partnership with the business in delivering extraordinary outcomes for the business, our people and patients.

In this role Jo will work very closely with UK & Ireland Site Steering Committee (the overarching team responsible for almost 900 “bench to bedside employees” across our 4 sites) and also coordinate horizontally across our different HR Centres of Excellence as appropriate. Jo will lead the HR Leadership Team for UK & Ireland, with the following team members having a reporting line to her;

Direct reporting line:

• Jonathan Goodger, Employee Relations Manager (from January 2021)

Functional reporting line:

• Kate Welsh, Senior HR Director Wrexham
• Liza O’Brien, HR Director Dublin
• HR Director Slough & Milton Park which has been consolidated into one position with Jo’s and Khadija’s moves.  We are currently recruiting for this position and Jo will continue to support both Slough (along with Becky Newby and Jo Siriboe) and Milton Park (along with Chantelle Lejeune) until an appointment has been made.

Jo joined Ipsen in 2018 as HR Director UK & Ireland Specialty Care, and HR Head Bath Road International Hub. Applying both corporate and local initiatives, alongside leadership, learning & development and training programmes, Jo has been instrumental in assisting the business across divisions and functions with leading training, empowering and engaging our employees in accordance with our way of being – and our belief that patients don’t have time to wait.

Before joining Ipsen, Jo had 20 years of varied HR experience working as HR Director for IQVIA, where she supported the Global Real-World Evidence Solutions team. Prior to this role, Jo specialised for some years in Leadership Development and Change Management.
