Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Tomoko Nakano 中野 知子 as Head of HR, Japan, effective 25 May 2026. Based in Tokyo, Tomoko will report directly to me, with a business-line reporting to Seigo Noda, General Manager, Japan.

Tomoko brings nearly 20 years of HR leadership experience across multinational healthcare and IT organizations. Over the course of her career, she has played a key role in supporting business growth and organizational transformation across core HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, and HR Operations. Her experience includes scaling organizations during new product launches, leading a pension plan initiative, and delivering a SuccessFactors upgrade.
She also brings extensive experience working in global, matrixed environments across Japan and the APAC region.

Tomoko holds a graduate degree from Meiji University. Outside of work, she enjoys running, travelling, and exploring new culinary experiences. In December last year, she visited Singapore, where she participated in a 10 km marathon and experienced the city’s vibrant food culture. She is also deeply interested in leadership, diversity, and the future of work, and values meaningful connections with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
