Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of SungYun Kim (김성윤) as Head of HR, Korea, effective 07 May 2024. He is based in Seoul and will report to me, with a business line reporting to the General Manager in Korea.

SungYun has over 15 years of experience in HR for various multinational industrial equipment and heavy vehicle companies. Before joining Ipsen, he was the HR Manager of Scania Korea Group, a Swedish commercial vehicle and engine sales and service company. He has focused on organization development by collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing the full HR cycle of recruitment, operations, compensation, performance management, and employee relations. In his career, Sungyun has successfully implemented global initiatives from the Regional and Head Office, including a new leadership model, core values, and global HR system, SAP SuccessFactors, to the Korean organization.

Sungyun holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature and business administration from Myongji University. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in organizational counselling psychology from Catholic University and is due to graduate by February 2025. In his leisure time, SungYun enjoys cycling, but he recently spends more time playing with his 3-year-old daughter.
