As part of our Group strategy, Focus, Together, for Patients & Society, we are committed to reinforce our business partnering to better support our strategy. We also believe internal mobility is key to the development of our people and I am thus very pleased to make the following announcement:
Clémence ELIE currently Senior Vice-President Global Patient Safety and d-QPPV is nominated Global HR Global Lead North America, R&D and Business Development reporting to me and effective from April 1st, 2023. Clémence will still be located in Boulogne – FR until her move with her family to the US – Cambridge next summer 2023.
As part of her new role, Clémence will act as a trusted advisor to her respective business partners (Stewart CAMPBELL, Howard MAYER and Philippe LOPES-FERNANDES) on all talent related matters, ensuring that the right talents, capabilities and structure in place for today and tomorrow. She will support the business by collaborating with internal clients to drive solutions that meet long-term, strategic goals and effectively balancing business needs with guardianship of Ipsen’s collaborative and agile culture. She will support the divisions strategy whilst proactively maintaining relationship with the key business players.
In addition, Clemence will be responsible for HR Operations across North America.
As a consequence, Carla DASILVA, Jane CLOUGH, Alex GONZALES, Khadija DEMBELE, Greta DZIECIASZEK, Heather THOMPSON and Kendra BAILLIE will report to her.
Graduated in Pharmacy and Specialized Studies in Industrial Pharmacy and Biology Medical, from Lyon University in 2005 in Pharmacy, Clémence has started her career at Sanofi Pasteur in 2004 in Global Pharmacovigilance where she holds several positions in Global Safety before being nominated Chief Medical Office Secretary in 2012. In 2014, she holds an Executive MBA from EML Business School Lyon and moves to Human Resources Department holding HR Chief of Staff role and supporting HR Transformation for 2 years before becoming HR Business Partner for Sanofi Business Transformation. She joins Ipsen in 2019 as Global Safety Operations Head and d-QPPV and has been nominated Head of Global Patient Safety and d-QPPV in 2021.
Clémence will transition business partnering of North America Commercial Operations with Monica BERUBE, who leads HR North America Commercial Operations team during the interim period over the last 7 months.

En outre, Clémence sera responsable des opérations RH pour toute l’Amérique du Nord.
En conséquence, Carla DASILVA, Jane CLOUGH, Alex GONZALES, Khadija DEMBELE, Greta DZIECIASZEK, Heather THOMPSON et Kendra BAILLIE lui rapporteront.
Diplômée en pharmacie et en études spécialisées en pharmacie industrielle et biologie médicale, de l’Université de Lyon en 2005, Clémence a débuté sa carrière au sein de Sanofi Pasteur en 2004 en pharmacovigilance globale où elle a occupé plusieurs postes en Global Safety avant d’être nommée Chief Medical Office Secretary en 2012. En 2014, elle est diplômée d’un Executive MBA de l’EML Business School Lyon et a rejoint la Direction des Ressources Humaines où elle a occupé le poste de Chef of Staff RH et a soutenu la transformation RH pendant 2 ans avant de devenir HR Business Partner pour la Transformation de Sanofi. Elle a rejoint Ipsen en 2019 en tant que Responsable Monde des Opérations de Sécurité et d- QPPV. En 2021, elle est nommée Responsable Monde de la Sécurité des Patients et d-QPPV.
Clémence assurera la transition avec Monica BERUBE, qui a dirigé l’équipe RH des Opérations Commerciales en Amérique du Nord pendant la période d’intérim durant les sept derniers mois.
