We are pleased to announce an evolution in the way we manage our VIE population, aimed at better supporting business needs and improving efficiency.

As part of this, we are introducing the new team structure now responsible for managing VIEs, built on strong collaboration and close dynamics between Talent Acquisition and International Mobility, and sponsored by Clémence Elie and Sophie Veron.

This evolution also brings the opportunity to review and simplify, whenever possible, the VIE management process.

Reminder: What is a VIE?

The VIE (Volontariat International en Entreprise) is an international program managed by Business France, enabling European young professionals (aged 18–28) to work abroad for 6 to 24 months across a wide range of functions.

Ipsen currently manages around 40 VIEs worldwide.

A clearer and more efficient operating model

We are introducing a strengthened collaboration between Talent Acquisition (TA) and International Mobility (IM), with a clear division of roles:

  • Talent Acquisition (Elise and Ramdane):
Leads workforce planning and recruitment of VIEs globally, in close partnership with managers, HR teams and Business France.
  • International Mobility (Joëlle and Clémence):
Takes over post-recruitment, managing all administrative processes and coordinating with visa sponsors, Business France, managers and VIEs to ensure a smooth onboarding and deployment.

This model enables each team to focus on its core expertise, improving both efficiency and quality of delivery.

A successful transition supported by teamwork

This transition has been made possible thanks to strong collaboration:

  • Clémence Elie and Sophie Veron (Sponsors) for their alignment, guidance and continuous support
  • Elise Alimondo and the TA team for their expertise and smooth handover
  • Joelle Greenwold and Clémence Tarroni (IM team) for their coordination and mobility expertise

We will also continue to strengthen collaboration with local HR teams, Accounting and HRIS, whose involvement remains critical to success.

Our shared ambition

By combining TA and IM expertise, we aim to:

  • Enhance the overall VIE experience
  • Position VIE as a strong early talent pipeline
  • Ensure alignment with business priorities

What’s next

This new organization will:

  • Simplify processes
  • Increase global consistency
  • Better support a growing VIE population

More detailed information will be shared after the summer—stay tuned!!
