Dear Colleagues,

Professional development and career enrichment are so vitally important to us at Ipsen, that I am delighted to announce that we have created a new role within the HR organisation, which will be fully dedicated to supporting talent development across the UK and Ireland.

To further demonstrate this commitment to internal career development, I am delighted to announce that Emma Pugh has been appointed as the Talent Management Lead, UK and Ireland and will transition from her current role as an HR Business Partner at Wrexham to this newly created role, supporting all four sites across the region and some of our clusters in ROW (i.e. LatAm, AP and MEA).

In her new role, Emma will deploy Global Learning programmes across the UK and Ireland whilst also providing regional learning and development opportunities using the 70:20:10 model of development to build skills and capabilities. Emma will also explore and assess local learning needs, which are not covered globally and ensure the design and implementation of innovative learning solutions.

Emma joined Ipsen in 2016 as an HR Business Partner and has also been the Talent Development Lead at Wrexham for the last 2 years. Some of Emma’s key achievements within this time have been transforming the talent acquisition process bringing recruitment in-house and ensuring a focus on internal mobility. Emma has also been responsible for implementing a number of initiatives to drive a learning culture at Wrexham and was also instrumental in setting up the Learning Academy at Wrexham in 2019, which is a large purpose built space for training sessions and team development.

Prior to joining Ipsen, Emma worked in Finance roles and then relocated to Australia in 2009 where Emma worked for Adecco in a number of different Talent Acquisition roles. Emma returned to her hometown of Wrexham in 2016, where she continues to be based with her family.

Emma will start to support some of our learning programmes during June, as part of her onboarding and to start working with some of our external vendors and will officially start in her new role full time from the 1st July.

Emma will continue to be based at our Wrexham site and will report into me.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys spending time with her family and under normal circumstances getting out and about travelling to new places.

Please join us in congratulating Emma on her new role and wishing her every success in this next chapter of her career at Ipsen.
