Dear Colleagues,
Cultural Diversity Week will take place on the week commencing 21st September, for one week.
The week aims to raise awareness, encourage learning and dialogue, and celebrate the rich cultural diversity that strengthens Ipsen and helps us better serve the diverse communities of patients around the world. Planned activities include:
- A global panel discussion on Cultural Diversity in Healthcare on the 21st September at 14:00 CET, moderated by Roxanne Ferdinand (SVP, Head of Global Medical Affairs, Oncology and Sponsor of our AFFIRM ERG UK&I), with Seema Meloni (Global Head, Epidemiology, RWE, & Evidence Strategy), Amelie Jaspart (Clinical Programs Director), Sabrina Solomon (Senior GPS Scientist and lead of our AFFIRM ERG UK&I), and a representative from Prostate Cancer Research. The panel will explore how cultural perspectives influence patient experiences, healthcare access and outcomes. Please do talk about the panel in your network and encourage colleagues to join the conversation. (A recording will also be made available after the event.)
- Even more exciting than the 2026 World Cup, Ipsen’s very own World Cup of Cultures, a 3-part quiz game which colleagues across the world can participate in, to be nominated Ipsen’s first ever Champions of Cultural Curiosity.
- Employee spotlight stories highlighting colleagues’ diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, in partnership with our Affirm ERG
- Linked in learning challenge, with an additional learning module on Working Across Cultures put together by one of our DEI ambassadors.
- Global Communications:
- The event will be launched with an opening email going out to all locations next week. (English / French)
- This will be reproduced in an article on My Ipsen
- There will be a second article on My Ipsen during Cultural Diversity Week focused more specifically on the testimonies of some of our Affirm members.
- Local communication:
- You can find the 2026 Cultural Diversity visuals here. If your site has digital screens, the content for the screens will be sent to your site via the Communications’ network. If you don’t have digital screen, please use a printed version of the screens to advertise the events on site.
-
Also we will share a short closing email for the event which we would encourage local HR teams to send in their local language in order to reinforce that inclusion is also a local commitment.
Finally, we invite you at a country level to use this opportunity to host activities that will encourage cultural exchange, learning and connection.
As with previous years, our objective is not only to celebrate diversity, but also to help build greater cultural awareness, strengthen inclusion and reinforce the importance of understanding different perspectives in a global organisation.
Thank you for your continued support, we look forward to connecting with you over the week!
The Global DEI Team
