Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Abbie Pound as Ipsen’s very first Global Culture and Engagement Director.

New to Ipsen, this role will be fundamental in developing and delivering against our strategy to win your engagement and to continue to innovate and push boundaries to keep the Ipsen culture relevant to and resonant with you.

As Abbie says: “This is a dream role for me, and I can’t wait to hear from everyone at Ipsen about the changes we need to make to win exceptional engagement and an unrivalled culture within the team. I want to be the person who drives positive change on behalf of us all. What does HR stand for when you’re a Culture and Engagement Director? Hear and Respond.”

Abbie graduated with first-class honors degrees in Biology and Psychology, before turning to a career in publishing and communications. Throughout her career she has been an active advocate for talent development and engagement, both in her work and personal life. In her spare time, she frequently posts on LinkedIn about the importance of personal development, career progression, and work-life balance (https://www.linkedin.com/in/abbiepound/).

Abbie has been the Head of Global Medical Publications and Communications at Ipsen for almost 4 years now. During this time, the department’s internal and external reputation as an innovative and industry-leading group has grown, with notable achievements including the introduction of Ipsen’s Open Access commitment, rolling publication plans and Asset Scientific Communication Frameworks, as well as in depth publication metrics and a robust medical presence at key congresses.

Now, after a 6-month special assignment within the Global Talent Management and Engagement team working on the Ipsen Mentoring Program, we are both confident and delighted in welcoming her permanently into the Global Talent Engagement team.

Abbie will start her new role full time in January 2022 but will join the team 1 day a week effective immediately.

Please join me and Monica in wishing Abbie all the best in her new role and in welcoming her within the HR community.

Monika Gibson, on behalf of the Global Talent Engagement Team

Mónica de Abadal, VP Medical Excellence
