In our Talent team, we are committed to Own Our Growth. We are thrilled to announce a permanent swap within the Talent Management, Learning & Development and Engagement team.

Effective January 1, 2026, Emma Pugh will assume the role of Global Learning & Development Partner, and Chandini Shah will succeed Emma as Talent Management Lead for the UK & Ireland. They will report respectively to Nicola, in her new role of Head of Global Learning & Development and Maxime Chesnais, Talent Management Director, France, UK & Ireland.

Emma joined Ipsen 9 years ago as HRBP for Wrexham after several years in Talent Acquisition, she then took the lead of Talent Management, L&D for UK and Ireland. In the last years, Emma grew her business understanding and stakeholders’ management across all divisions in UK & I and has had particular impact in growing TM data analytics for the HR community, has participated in global projects (Career Months, Season of Development, Leadership programs review) and contirbuted to shape the L&D portfolio leading pilots for DevelopMe launch in UK&I and globally as well as for Matrix Leadership.

Chandini joined Ipsen 5 years ago after gaining experience in the Learning field in and outside of Pharma. She has initiated several solutions that are now well anchored (e.g. Talent Speed Networking and LinkedIn Learning). In the most recent years, Chandini has co-designed and driven the deployment of our 2 Global Management Programs (People Manager, Manager of Manager) in close collaboration with all Geography TM/L&D partners leading to upskilling of ~800 managers across all Ipsen in the last 2 years. Chandini started growing her Talent Management skills through designing and launching the new Development Diagnostic approach and revamping the new Career Acceleration Lab for Country/Site LT successors together with Nicola.

This transition results from valuable iDevelop discussions as well as reflection of the growth and impact both have had in the past years. By taking on these new roles, Emma and Chandini will deepen and widen their expertise—Emma in L&D and Chandini in Talent Management.

Please join us in congratulating Emma and Chandini for their growth and wishing them all the best for their new roles!

Virginie, Nicola, Maxime
